ST MONICA’S CHAPLET

ST MONICA’S CHAPLET

Rain falls like Monica’s tears
for her child, or the pitter-patter
of an innocent heart,
on the tin roof as a chaplet
of beads.
Patient, like love a given,
enduring enough to soften
a heart of stone.

    You’re back!

It occurred to me about a week ago, that while we are putting flu season behind, you’re just heading into it. I hope that Australia gives us straight numbers on Covid-19. At our end, the only straight info that we got were all the TikTok videos of dancing nurses.

    French brunette!

It is getting hard to find cute French brunettes. I know that you have seen this one before and like her. She reminds me too much of American Bandstand.

That is hard to top. I like! Here again is my favorite cartoon brunette singing the Soviet March, Composed after the fall of the Soviet Union for a video game. If you ever see version with translated lyrics, you’ll see bears honored in the chorus.

I wanted to link Hayley Westerna singing the national anthem at Gallipoli along with someone in Australia singing hers, but its no longer there. NZ boys like Hayley, a lot.
How did Australia and New Zealand ever persuade the Turks to allow an assembly there? Elsewhere, in Mexico, they allowed the French to assemble at Camerone. There might be a lot of this going around.
