I bet she doesn’t look so good thru the makeapp filter.

I like, but I think that I may be partial to brunettes. About makeup, she seems to not be that dependent on it.

She’s not bad. I guess you’d say pretty good- for her age. But you better believe she’s wearing makeup. It’s the stuff that’s supposed to look like no makeup.

Probably. I don’t mind a bit of lippie, and she is certainly wearing that.

I think the thing about her is that she is bright and aware. It adds to a woman’s allure. A lot of young women think they can get by on sheer physical appearance but they need to develop an engaging or interesting personality as well, for lasting appeal.

  2. Julian,

As an older, NON-American, and most importantly happily married man, you don’t view or judge women through the same prism as many men.

I asked my husband to get another perspective and he said, “I wouldn’t use the word ‘cute’, but the is something about her that draws you in.”

I dislike attempts to claim that women should only be considered as minds. I think that is as restrictive as claims that women are reducible to their bodies. A person is a whole, body and mind, and each reflects the other.

There is a certain look that some women have that I find attractive. It is a bright, cheerful, open look. Each man finds something in a woman’s countenance that intrigues him. Some men like a haughty look. Some a sultry look. In any case, the mind and the body work together.

I know the above woman slightly. She is a “real character” as we say here. A bit different. She is not actually quite my type, but I understand the appeal of a woman who is genuinely unusual.

As for age, I have never minded a bit of maturity on a woman.

        Julian,
You’re not crazy. I like and it may be the blue eyes and the engaging smile. The only thing that puts me off is that she must have a full dance card.

Another thought. It is a good thing for women that men’s taste varies.
