Wonder Woman will always be a fantasy

An actor, apparently promoting the new Wonder Woman movie, recently said that we need Wonder Woman because men aren’t that smart.

Another celebrity, a woman in this case, has claimed that men need to be given opportunities to be emotional. As somebody I know pointed out, men have been turning emotions into great art for thousands of years.

Let’s be honest. The great unspoken reality behind all these foolish public statements is that men are far more gifted and talented than women in nearly every area. There are rare sports that women excel at (ultra-long distance swimming); the occasional game (bridge, I understand); the occasional art or science (needlework, botanical illustration, confessional poetry.) But, by and large, men are overwhelmingly superior to women.

That’s fact. Modern people turn themselves into pretzels trying to deny it, but it’s true.

Simply put, women only excel at the things that only women can do. They don’t need enumerating. Sometimes it has been claimed rhetorically that women are generalists and men are specialists. Chesterton said something like that. But, in reality, men are the generalists. Women are specialists. They specialise in reproduction, and the arts that go with it: making themselves attractive; making a home attractive and pleasant.

Wonder Woman is fantasy.

  1. See, this is why women can’t have nice things. We see Snow White or Wonder Woman and wish to actually be them. Superman and Iron Man are fantasy too, but most men get that. Women see the victories of fictional women as victories for real women.

At my usual haunt, someone asked where children come from if there are nothing but women on Paradise Island. I don’t think DC comics has provided an answer. So, yes, it is a fantasy to its foundation.

Oh yes, men aren’t that smart. We’re only the builders of civilization is all. Us men only hold it all together with our blood and sweat. We only invent 95% of everything. But we’re just stupid and not up to par with some “enlightened” talking vagina or virtue-signalling pussy boy. lol.

    That moron is projecting….and HARD.

I have noticed that Americans take movies very seriously. Some woman was going on yesterday about how inspiring the new Wonder Woman movie is for women. I had to point out that it is only fantasy.

People live vicariously through the characters. It may be the sign of an empty life.

I understand the impulse. One naturally identifies with a particular character in an ensemble cast. I think they are designed like that. And one can gain useful insights perhaps into human relations. No doubt that is why so many dramas and sitcoms show bosses and underlings and their relationships.

But identifying with a magical or superhero character has obvious problems.

I can see that. There is no such thing as a “harmless” delusion.

That’s because Hollywood is using their movies to spread their Leftist bullshit.
