That is Faith Goldy and she works for Rebel Media who have a YouTube channel with that name. Obviously, the people who produced this video do not agree with her politics.

Honestly, I find her rant ridiculous. If God is one, (and the abrahamic religions stem from the same origin (Al-lah – El-ohim)), a call to prayer is a call to prayer, invitation to turn to God, so imo she should respectfully shut up, especially when she is a tourist = a guest, one usually doesn’t bitch about habits in host’s household, it’s rude.

But ok, if we go this route, I can maybe counter with Hosea 13:16, or Psalm 137:8-9, Luke 12:49, or Matthew 10:34, and top it with some Al Ghazali (the one whom Aquinas held in great respect by the way):

I find her parochial in her attitude, yes.
I was interested in her persona as an attractive, white, conservative woman. They don’t often stand out like this.
Sometimes these women seem to be motivated by a fear of Islam as something that might curtail their specific lifestyle as good-looking, independent women.
I could speculate a bit that it is women like her who feel that they have most to lose under Islam. Ironically, women who are less successful in Western terms in terms of being attractive and happily married may resent the mild Western patriarchy more. Liberal women seem to hate Western men more than Islamic men. Perhaps it is because women tend to react to personal experience more than abstract ideas. A Western patriarchy that has allowed men to “stare rape” her may upset a feminist more than one which notionally might have her stoned for adultery, but of which she has no personal experience.

I agree, lookswise she is attractive, (only for my taste too big mouth maybe, and together with certain little mannerisms in the overall way she talks, especially toward the end, give out in my perception some slight vibe of say vulgarity, for momentary lack of better term..)
Your observation regarding women and Islam is interesting and very likely true, not sure if in her particular case, but in general definitely. I think it’s also in the degree of control she feels she has or would have in each of the societal setting – in the western system she can be quite sure that she will get her way or at least wide support in pretty much any circumstance, while she can’t be so sure how that would be in the islamic world, which she is actually imagining as highly oppressive. Like that she would viscerally, at some very base level, despise western men as p*ssies, and idealize the islamic ones as alphas proper (which would be very often incorrect, because the little god/rock-star status, that sons and brothers in islamic families usually have and treatment they receive from their moms and sisters is making them often totally oblivious to the female nature and hence perfect material for blue-pilled manipulated chump, with outer appearance and trappings of the real macho though). This her unconsciously felt mix of fear and respect and tingle towards the imagined islamic man stereotype has to be then on the conscious level neutralized and transformed so that it fits the ‘strong and independent woman’ status she attributes to herself..
Related to that and Islam generally – it is both understandable to a degree, and strange: I mean the fact of people having very clear stance towards something they lack deeper first hand experience with, their attitudes towards it often adopted in full from whatever line of ideology they chose to identify themselves with. Which leads to a funny situation, that that Islam, that these people hate/fear/despise/criticise, actually never really existed, except in abstraction, not even in the very ‘hardcore’ islamic countries (I have no experience from those, but lived in Turkey for several years).
Also many of the negatives attributed to Islam I would say are rather a social matter, to greater degree than purely religious.
I don’t deny nor defend some true atrocities, what I mean is that Islam is too general notion to have easily available, clearcut opinion about, without proper knowledge and experience.
It can be compared maybe in the following way (it’s not totally accurate, since the religion in the islamic countries has in general bigger impact and influence over all society, but at least approximately) : it’s a bit like automatically identifying western(ized) /euroamerican culture with Christianity. That would not be really correct.

Yes. Calling her “Becky” is itself borderline racist. And it is certainly dismissive.
I find it hard to “suffer fools gladly” as people used to say. But I am having to learn from Facebook. As you say, infantile. And often from people who are ostensibly educated and sensitive to nuance.
