I sometimes think God hates Hillary

Hillary Clinton has had extraordinarily bad luck in her opponents.

She was beaten to the Democrat nomination by a Black man. Given her status as presumptive first woman president, his demographic was the only one that could have defeated her for the nomination.

And now Trump. Another surprising candidate. In a normal year, her opponent would have been a bland white male like Jeb. But he met with a political accident.

Even in Australia, we are exposed to this spectacle. I remember watching some of the debate between McCain and Obama and having the feeling that McCain was pulling his punches. Or senile. And Romney seemed to be holding something back.

The sudden unexpected appearance of “wild” candidates like Obama and Trump makes one feel that there is something to be said for the crucial importance of individual personalities in history. Trump at least could hardly have been predicted.

However I suppose one could argue that Trump is simply the figurehead for a groundswell of resentment and concern. It is strange that when America got its populist revolution, it has come from the Right. It also bears out one of my predictions, that the Internet and the new media would ultimately benefit conservatives.

To return to my original point, Hillary has had bad luck in her opponents. Trump dresses like a gentleman but he isn’t one. He is a nightmare for her.

People will say that he doesn’t respect women. I would disagree and say that he does. In some ways he is a product of feminism. He will treat Hillary as ruthlessly as he would treat a man.

Jeb would have known to let the lady win.

Everyone should hate Hillary. She’s pure evil.

“Jeb would have known to let the lady win.”

    That’s because he’s a pussy.

I don’t think Jeb is a pussy. I think he was unlucky and he did what men often do when humiliated; he regressed into sentimentality. His performance became querulous and pathetic.

He certainly benefited from the family name but by some accounts he was a good Governor of Florida.

  2. Pure evil is far far far worse than Hillary. The Clinton legacy will be defined by the next four months. Drumph meanwhile has successfully shown how rhetoric and showmanships trumps Republican valuez. Pardon le pun.

  3. An interesting analysis – both Trump and Clinton seem to represent some of the worst aspects of their parties. On the one hand, vulgarity, petulance and spite masquerading as anti-political correctness, and unashamed greed (Trump), and on the other hand (Clinton), a born-to-rule mentality and a hatred of other economic classes masquerading as progressivism (‘won’t it be great if a woman wins!’) So both have, er, unique opportunities for attacking the other.

  4. But then, Trump will surely struggle to get beyond the absolute show of disunity represented in the Republican convention. ‘A house divided against itself cannot stand’: the Dems will surely try to capitalise on this, though they risk falling into their ‘we are superior, we know what’s best for you’ rhetoric.

  5. Trump’s more a whitehead than a figurehead, pun not intended. And the internet and social media only appears to have benefitted conservatives because of the misinformation and obfuscation peddled by state-sanctioned cronies and their half-witted parrot public.

In the long run, they’ll at best be left behind or at worst bring the whole shambolic mess humankind is down with them. Case in point: Jim, above. Using the word hate like it’s ever useful and also presuming an oligarch like Hillary, or Trump for that matter, would be at all affected by such an ineffectual disposition.

Not to mention use of the word pussy in a negative light, which smacks not only of mere misogyny, but a general, hopefully mostly suppressed hatred of women stemming most likely from rejection or rejections by them.

Progressives don’t need tools to further their cause. The brightest periods of human history are their foundation. And the future is always bright for those who remember the mistakes of the past. Especially but not only if said mistakes were not of their like-minded forebears’ making.

Ah, yes. Here we go with the, tired, worn out, but feminist wind-up toy cry of “misogyny!” (I didn’t think feminists were allowed to post here. You’ll claim you’re not so stop sounding like them) But you forgot the usual, “You can’t get laid!” “You’ve got a small dick!” “You live in mommy’s basement!” “You’re gay!”

Being a pussy means he’s a weak man. I was insulting the man you idiot. The Bush’s are scum, like the Clintons. But that’s almost always true of politicians period.

      • I’m not a feminist.

Feminists can post comments. I let one nutty one through quite recently.

“Feminists can post comments. I let one nutty one through quite recently.”

        Which one was that?

It was on one of ContentWoman’s posts.

Ah, yes. I think you’re talking about “AlphaFemale”. Her post was so insane that I think it’s probably just some troll trying to start something. I could be wrong though.

I only glanced at it. It was batshit crazy. But I let it through partly to show what kind of nuts are out there.

I get a few abusive comments which I just trash. But not many. Moderating comments tends to discourage them and the SJW loons seem to have migrated to Twitter.

As a disenfranchised Ron Paul supporter from the last two elections, I actually bothered to show up to the primary and will on election day to support Trump. I don’t have any expectations he will do exactly everything mentioned in his speech, but it’s a good start that he outlined every problem facing us here in the US. I’d prefer an abolition of the TSA and full repeal of Obamacare replaced with nothing, but the rest of it was pretty good.

I’m just over joyed he peed in everyone’s punch bowl that needed to be peed in. And watching leftist wet themselves is pure joy as well.

Yes. I see a lot of Left comment on Facebook and Trump has really upset them deeply. Some people argue that the Left’s intolerance of even moderately conservative views has produced the Trump backlash. The Left have run out of adjectives.

      • Posted by Jim on July 24, 2016 at 10:45 pm

I’ll respond to both of you here:

        To sth_txs:

Yes i know what you mean. I supported Ron Paul as well. Those were fun times. It’s been a delight to watch the Idiot Libtards go totally ape shit over Trump. The LA Times has even promoted the staging of a military coup if Trump wins. These people are insane.

        To Julian:

“Left have run out of adjectives.”

Yup. That’s why people like me or anyone even resembling me in the tiniest are attacked with only one of two words….”racist!” “misogynist!” Like a certain person did to me earlier. Lol. I just laugh, mock, then tune out anything else they say after that. I hear those words so many times in the US it’s incredible. It’s as common as sand in the Sahara Desert. It’s old, tired, and pathetic.

If interesting Men keep coming up and blocking HIllary’s path it could almost be argued God was saying no to females in office.

Trump scares me though, He’s using the same play as the nazis did.
