Elisheba

We hear of Aaron’s Rod but not

of Aaron’s wife, Elisheba,  for

she was silent all her life under

his rod of command, following

beside him like a contented

ewe lamb,  chastened by the rod,

but under its protection, and

riding  it with a will to bear him

children, knowing its measure

in the desert night and giving

her lord ease and pleasure.
