The wrong kind of eye contact

At my last post I wrote this in a comment:

” … there was a prominent woman blogger not long ago, who once posted a list of things for wives to do to “keep the flame alive”. One, strangely perhaps, was never to look your husband in the eyes for more than a brief moment.”

This reminded me of this woman, who does the reverse of this advice with her screen husband in this advertisement. It is a short video. Watch for the woman’s use of her head and eyes about half way through. She is like a striking snake:

I wouldn’t tolerate a woman using that body language with me.

The always interesting Steve Sailer discusses the video (but the embedding has failed) and the broader financial issues here.

    Very true.

And this commercial, and the financial disasters it wrought, is very much a result of giving in to female nagging and badgering. I found this a very ugly commercial.

What a disaster. And of course, in case anyone forgot, any decision you let your wife make that goes wrong is still your going to be your fault… because YOU let her make the decision and failed to step in!!!

    • The funny thing about that commercial is that the woman is actually leaving the final decision up to the husband. But I suppose that just reflects the reality that he is the one earning the money.

I thought the husband’s last remark was particularly pathetic. About how big the garage is.

Once the woman gets the upper hand in a relationship, it is likely to be fatal.

The woman’s use of the head and eyes is what you see out of a feral American teenage girl at the mall. All that was missing was her saying “duh”
Splendid job of acting by this lady but I suspect was simply channeling her real life experience.
Now let me give you a real life example. My poor beaten down brother in law and wife are in the process of selling their lovely older home. Female relator convinces wife to rip out ceiling to floor built in bookshelf in the den because ” people don’t like books anymore”
