Does Neil deGrasse Tyson know what a rhombus is?

A recent tweet from the prominent science communicator:

In the case of a rhombus the “four sides have the same length”.

As I tweeted in reply, the Southern Cross (the constellation Crux) is not in the shape of a rhombus. As the name implies, it looks like a Christian or Latin cross:

  1. Sesame Street featured the definition of rhombus earlier in the week (in a catchy little song so the little ones would remember it has equal sides). Perhaps he needs to go back to pre-school….

You dipshits could just google “rhombus” and see that you’re wrong and obviously his point about the crux (the whole point of his comment) just flew right over your heads.

It is not a rhombus. As I explained, a rhombus has equal sides. So he is wrong.

      As are you. Dipshit.

If you want me to publish another of your childish comments, leave out the insults.
