No. 6 in a series: intellectual cuties

Natalia Pogonina.

” a Russian chess International Master. She reached the final of the 2015 Women’s World Championship. ”

One of the most beautiful women I ever saw, perhaps the most beautiful, was the women’s chess champion from an Eastern European country, as I recall. She was staying with a friend here in Canberra who was a serious chess player.

In any case, this is Natalia Pogonina:

The black and white effect reminds me of a line from a short story I posted here recently:

“He had imagined her naked at his hands. He had imagined her with her contrasting black and white colouring, like a freshly opened book or a piano keyboard.”

Or in this case, a chessboard.

Cf. No. 5 in a series: Intellectual Cuties (chess edition) (with some discussion of why women have their own competition)
