Bad Advice

Just a quick point.

It makes no sense to tell a male reader to unilaterally behave in a certain way because it would be better if all men did. That is just setting him up for personal failure.

The only advice that helps a man is what helps him in the current legal, moral and social situation.

Men do not owe “society” anything. Especially as Society doesn’t much like men these days. Increasingly Society is code for “what is nice for women”.

When a woman tells a man to be a nice guy, she is thinking of Society first and him, maybe, second.

A man cannot change the world. He can only change his perception and response to the world. It is important that he sees clearly and understands the limits to his personal power.

The reason I write this is my having just read a piece of bad advice at a female “Red Pill” site. There is no point in telling individual men to be gentlemen in a society that rewards cads. The cads will not stop being cads. It is good for a man if he chooses to be as gentle as a dove, but he must also be as wise as a serpent. Good men do not exist to make themselves into safety nets for tumbling sluts.

  1. I’m curious where you read this kind of advice. If you don’t mind, could you send it to me via e-mail (as I note you are being circumspect about the source).

      Return of Queens.

One reason I did not cite it is that I find it hard to put links in because I am posting this from an iPad.

My point goes beyond my problem with the post at that site. Also it is just generally stupid to tell a man to act as if reality were not reality. And to pretend that women’s behaviour is not half the problem.

I should add that advice on men’s sites can be bad in the same way. Men have to stop giving advice that assumes the world is not as it is.

I suspected that the site might be Return of Queens. I looked at it a while ago. It’s not red pill.
